In 2014 the University of Nottingham recognised this work through a Knowledge Exchange and Innovation Award (only such award made to the Arts Faculty, for Business Engagement) for ‘outstanding innovation and entrepreneurial achievement’. Some of the details of the award are here.


In addition to this I've worked with colleagues to develop a series of one-day training sessions for SMEs in the local area around the theme of 'Making Good Decisions'. These draw upon existing philosophical research to help companies make good hiring decisions and develop ethical practice.

Since 2012 I've been an advisor to Time.ly. Some of that work played a part in the Philosophy Department's REF2014 return and you can read about it here and here
